Transcripts/Mark Sheets/Degree Certificates can be sent in the following ways:
    Mail:

We accept paper transcripts (marksheets, degree supplements, etc.) and degrees (degree certificate, diploma, etc.) mailed or shipped directly from your school to Loma Linda University at the address above.

    Secure PDF in an Email:
We also accept password protected PDFs of transcripts (marksheets, degree supplements, etc.) and degrees (degree certificate, diploma, etc.)  as official. These must be sent directly from the issuing institution in a series of two emails, with “Transcript for (student’s name)” as the subject of each email. One email should include the password protected PDF, the second email should contain the password to access the PDF. For more information on how to password lock a PDF please visit: Securing PDFs with passwords, Adobe Acrobat.

    Unsecure PDF in an Email:
If your institution is unable to secure pdf transcripts (marksheets, degree supplements, etc.) and degrees (degree certificate, diploma, etc.) with a password, they can send us an unsecured pdf in an email with “Transcript for (student’s name)” as the subject of the email. This method will require additional verification. The issuing institution will need to respond to LLU when we contact them to verify the authenticity of these documents. If the issuing institution is unable to verify the authenticity of the documents, then official documents will need to be mailed to the address listed above.

    • I have forgotten my pin: If you forgot the pin you created, you will need to use the forgot pin feature located on the Application Portal login page. If you established a security question, answer it to reset your pin. If you have not established a security question, a one-time use temporary pin will be emailed to you, and it will serve as your old pin when prompted to reset it. Do not copy and paste it. It needs to be manually typed to avoid pasting an unwanted space. If you have forgotten your login ID, please reach out to University Admissions for assistance. We can only give you hints. If you are unable to remember a self-created login ID, you will need to open a new account/application and start over.
    • My account has been locked/disabled: After 3 failed attempts to log in, the system will lock you out of your account. Please contact University Admissions to unlock/enable your account.
    • Helpful tips if you are still experiencing issues logging in: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge are the preferred web browsers. Ensure they are the latest versions. It may also help to do a computer restart. If using Google Chrome, try using a new incognito window.
    • If you are still having issues, please email University Admissions with screenshots of any error messages you are receiving and/or call us for further trouble-shooting.

After submitting your application, you have the ability to log in to your application portal to check the status of requirements and documents. Upon logging in, go to “Application Status” under “Additional Requirements”. Transcripts/documents received by our office require 1-3 business days to be manually linked to your application. If it has not been reflected as received on your application checklist within 3 business days of the receipt date, contact University Admissions for a status update.

If all checklist items are marked as received, your application is complete and ready for review. We do not send completion emails. Further questions regarding a decision on your application can be inquired with the schools admissions office in charge of your program. Please refer to our Contact Us webpage.

    • The approved format for emailed PDF copies of transcripts is to send them in a secure PDF with a separate following email containing the password. If the PDF document is not secure, an email from our office is sent to your university requiring their confirmation that the transcript/documents are considered official. They will need to confirm with a "Yes" for your documents to be processed.
    • Important note: Please be aware that additional requirements can be added to your checklist if documents sent by your university are deemed incomplete. If you are uncertain whether your transcript lists your graduation information and degree earned, please contact your school before requesting your transcript and ensure the following:
      1. Degree awarded or graduation information including specific degree earned and date awarded
      2. Official degree certificate/diploma
      3. There are also country specific guidelines when sending us your documents. Please visit International Academic Transcripts for more detailed information.

Documents you've submitted to us previously are retained in our repository. You do not need to re-send your documents unless there are updates to them like new courses taken or degrees awarded. LLU requires a full academic history. Omission of any detail may result in a delay in processing or denial of admission.

    • We require a complete academic history of all post-secondary education. If official documents are unavailable for a verifiable reason, we will need full color copies of your transcripts (mark sheets, diploma supplement, etc.), degree certificate (diploma), and translations of all documents not issued in English. Any document that is relevant to the program to which you are applying will need to be evaluated by an evaluation company listed on our website at International Academic Transcripts. Proof of hardship in obtaining the transcripts/documents will also be requested of you, such as articles, official notices, and any correspondence you may have had with the institution.
    • If you have asylum or refugee status, we will need a color scanned copy of your I-94 or immigration documents that verify asylum or refugee status.
    • We may also ask for further documentation which we will request by email if needed. Once we receive your documents, it may take time to review them and determine the next steps. If you do not have copies of your documents, please let University Admissions know so we can try to find another solution.

Recommendation invitations are sent out once you application is submitted and pushed into our systems, which can take up to 48 hours (about 2 days). The email sent contains a link and a pin to our recommender questionnaire. You are notified via email when your recommendation invitation is sent. Once your recommender submits their recommendation, it may take up to 30 minutes for it to reflect as received on your application checklist. Applicants can remove, add, or edit recommenders 1 business day after submitting their application.

CAS Application - Frequently Asked Questions

CAS (Centralized Application Services) is a completely separate entity from Loma Linda University. It is a third-party application service that has their own set of requirements. Sending us your documents does not fulfill your CAS requirements, as we do not transfer documents to them, nor do we have access to the CAS system. If you are experiencing any issues with your CAS application, please reach out to them for more guidance.

Once a CAS application is complete and verified, it gets sent to University Admissions to download once a week. After which, a secondary application invitation automatically gets emailed to you. You may want to contact your CAS to confirm your application is complete and verified. If you have not received a secondary application invitation email after confirming the above, please contact University Admissions.

Please check your email for an invitation to your secondary application. Your login information is not active until you have received the invitation email, which also includes the link to access your secondary application portal.

    • Please be aware that the initial pin is one time use only. If you have forgotten the pin you created, please use the forgot pin feature. If you established a security question, answer it to reset your pin. If you have not established a security question, a temporary pin will be emailed to you, and it will serve as your old pin when prompted to reset it. Do not copy and paste.

If documents such as ADAT, NBDHE, INBDE, and NBDE Part I and Part II or English Proficiency test scores are sent to your CAS, these items are automatically updated as received on your secondary application checklist upon our weekly download. If documents such as evaluations of international coursework and transcripts/mark sheets/degree certificates are sent to CAS and verified by CAS as official, we can accept those documents as official as well. We cannot accept documents as official from PASS.

Your secondary application deadline is your deadline to submit your application and it is unique to each applicant. Please reach out to your Schools Admissions office regarding application and document deadlines.
